cantata software package provides KDE client for the music player daemon (MPD), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cantata
cantata is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cantata package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cantata *
You will get with cantata package name, version, architecture and description in a table
